A collaborative project with Katelyn Toth-Fejel and Andrew Brooks, this info-graphic explores the different connections and relationships embodied in the journey of a pair of jeans around the world. The Journey of Jeans is a Cultural Institute at King’s project in collaboration with the Department of Geography, The London College of Fashion, and Here Today, Here Tomorrow.
The Journey of Jeans covers stages of jeans production, consumption and disposal, using research from a new book by Dr Andrew Brooks: Clothing Poverty: The Hidden World of Fast Fashion and Second-hand Clothes.
This paper argues in favour of enhanced transparency in the global garment supply chain, and how it can improve conditions for workers.
